Been to a lot of places in St Augustine and finding one that like this is awesome. Quiet with great burgers and a laid back vibe. Highly recommend this spot if you just want to sit and chill and have a really good burger. Oh and $2 drafts help too!

FYI: The name of this place is now "Monkey Life Grille", and the address is now 62 Spanish St St. Augustine, FL 32084. On the corner of Spanish Street, and Hypolita Street. Fun & friendly Diner/Cafe with some great food. Staff is super friendly, and their menu has a fair choice of some really good American food. On our first trip, we ordered the PITA CHIPS & SALSA, and a CHILI CHEESE DOG. Both meals were made fresh, and tasted fantastic. We decided that on the next day, we would forgo our B&B's 3-course breakfast, and eat at the Monkey Life Grille instead. Our second visit, each of us ordered THE GORILLA, (grilled cheese with bacon and tomato). Each of us ordered our sandwiches with a slight variation, (e.g. I added a fried egg to mine), and the staff had no problems accommodating our unique orders. The sandwich was great, but I kinda wanted them to "do something" better with the toasted bread, (like butter the outsides and pan fry, which adds flavor, texture and melts the cheesey contents nicely). In addition to a great menu, they also offer a good selection of beer & wine, ice cream and monkey-inspired merchandise. My Suggestion: Serve all meals with Banana Chips!

Good place. The server was amazingly over-the-top nice and helpful. We only ordered the hamburger and fries for the larval human, but he reported it was one of the best hamburgers he ever ate. The fries were a little greasy for me, but that is the point of crinkle fries right?

The food was great, large portions. My daughter said; the waffle fries are perfect. The mac & bacon dog was a success for my son. I loved the chili cheese dog and Dillon devoured the bacon burger

Only stopped in for a quick trip since we had a few stops to make but the wine slushy was great! I heard they were going to serve them but wasn't sure what to expect and it completely blew my mind and I am not that big of a fan of bananas. Will definitely be back!

This place is great. The staff was very friendly. Rodney waited on us, super nice guy. We had some $2 drafts (weekend special that we saw on FB). My son got a burger. It was huge! We relaxed on the deck and listened to the music entertainment. We live here, but certainly felt like we were on vacation. We did find out that they are rebranding the name to 'Monkey Life'.., still a cute logo. Definitely check this place out.

We stopped in for dinner after walking around historic downtown St. Augustine. We saw the Monkey Life Grill earlier in the day, and thought it was a really cool name, checked out the outside menu, and decided to give it a try. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, my oldest daughter ordered the mushroom swiss, younger kids had chicken tenders and grilled cheese, and my wife ordered the chili cheese dog. The atmosphere was great, they had a guy singing on the patio, it made for a very chill vibe. We waited about 12 minutes before the food came out, and then it was ON! I can honestly say, one of the top 3 burgers I have ever had. I ordered it medium, and it was cooked and seasoned to absolute perfection. My oldest daughters burger was the same way. The younger kids food was just as good, with the chicken tenders hot and crisp, with a great flavored breading. The grilled cheese had a nice crunch to it, instead of the normal buttered soggy mess they usually are. The wife's hotdog was all beef, great flavor, with a awesome mixture of chili and onions. All I can say is that if you are in the area, and haven't been here before, please stop in and give them a shot. Great food, awesome prices, and super friendly staff that genuinely care about your dining experience. Hats of to this restaurant

My husband and I ate here for breakfast. I tried the pancake sandwich and my husband tried the french toast breakfast dog. Both were amazing and quite filling. Our server was super nice and just the right amount of attentive.

I've been here twice now, breakfast and lunch. Both are excellent. The guys here are very friendly and service is very attentive. Right now there is live entertainment and he's pretty talented. If you're walking around Old Town stop in for a bite. This ice cream is good as well. Walk through the green door and turn right. Enjoy!

The staff was very friendly, though when I visited a week ago I saw several people enter from the patio and look confused as to where they should sit and the staff did nothing to assist them. The food is average, I had the Mac Daddy Dog, the macaroni & cheese was old and cold. My sister had the shredded pork sandwich which she really enjoyed. I don't think this is a place I would ever frequent again. Go elsewhere.

this place seemed like a cheap/lame burger and hotdog place with a silly name and logo, especially after being served our drinks in styrofoam cups, but boy were we wrong! this place is awesome, their menu is small but everything was so delicious and flavorful, the waffle fries are incredible, this place is a real treat!!

Best hot dogs in st augustine! Staff is so nice and helpful. Great environment and love the mascot "Shock" the monkey! Also during the weekends live music and awesome outside patio to hang out on and drink the best banana wine smoothies ever!

Staff is really nice, but this is the second time I've been here on a lunch break and been completely forgotten. Last time my food sat on their counter before anyone thought to bring it out to me. My $12 burger was cold by then. This time I spent 25 minutes of my 30 minute lunch break waiting on someone to remember I placed a to go order. I won't be back. I've only got so much time on a break that I can't spend it hanging out hoping I get food.
